If you are visiting the beautiful city of Rome during this August, then you really should take a pleasant evening walk along the city's main artery, the River Tiber. It hosts the Along The River Tiber Festival 2018 In Rome (Lungo Il Tevere Festival 2018) until the 3rd September and this year marks the festival's 16th edition. It spans along the revier from Porta Portese all the way to Piazza Trilussa and there are two separate entrances at street level, one at Ponte Sublicio and the other at Ponte Sisto with steps leading down to the activity along the river. On the river's paved banks there is a rich cultural and entertainment program: you will find a large and varying range of artisan shops, eateries, interesting tents and a selection of small live music shows and dance events. Finally, what is also great is that most of the shows and events are free to the public!
